Firefox Coming To iPhone
Recently Opera for iPhone got approved in the iTunes store and now Firefox is ready to bring the Firefox experience to the platform - sadly, not as an full blown individual web-browser but as an iPhone application dubbed Firefox Home letting users instant access to their Firefox desktop history, open tabs and bookmarks on iPhone via Firefox Sync service.
Here is an excerpt from the official announcement posted at the Mozilla blog :
"Firefox Home for iPhone is part of a broader Mozilla effort to provide a more personal Web experience with more user control. For devices or platforms where we’re unable to provide the “full” Firefox browser (either technically or due to policy), we aim to provide users with “on the go” instant access to their personal Firefox history, bookmarks and open tabs on their iPhones, giving them another reason to keep loving Firefox on their desktops."A video sneak peak of the preliminary, non-branded version of the Firefox Home app for iPhone is also posted and can be seen after the jump.
Android for iPhone 3G, Now Available for Download
Android port for iPhone 3G is now finally available for download. You can do pretty much everything that you would expect a normal Android phone to do but it is still not recommended for day-to-day regular use. The power management functions of Android for iPhone 3G are yet to be implemented so your phone will only last for an hour or so of Android use before the battery runs out. Yes, it is good only for showing off to your friends that you have Android running on iPhone 3G.
If you are feeling adventurous, you can follow the instructions posted here, or the more detailed ones posted by the dev/hacker himself at the PCWorld site here to get it up and running on your iPhone 3G.
With Android port for iPhone 3G now completed, we can expect a port for iPod touch soon, followed by one for iPhone 3GS and maybe iPad too

View iPhone Application On TV And Fix "This Accessory Is Not Made To Work With iPhone" While Using Cheaper Non-Apple A/V Cable
Apple restricts use of cheaper compatible composite A/V cables on iPhone and only allows TV-out support via an original Apple cable and that to for only selected applications like iPod and photo slide-shows, if you plugin an non-apple video-out cable in your iPhone you are shown an error "This Accessory Is Not Made To Work With iPhone" and TV-out does not work. Luckily if you have an jailbroken iPhone, not only you can make use of the cheaper non-apple A/V cable for TV-out functionality but also mirror the iPhone display on your TV, meaning you can enjoy all your iPhone applications and games on the big screen.
